This Privacy Policy explains how FundMyOpinion ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use our website and services. It also describes your rights under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how we use cookies and similar technologies.
1. Introduction
FundMyOpinion operates a simulated prop-trading platform focused on prediction markets. This policy applies to the marketing website at fundmyopinion.com and the trading application at app.fundmyopinion.com.
The data controller responsible for your personal data is FundMyOpinion. You can contact us at privacy@fundmyopinion.com.
2. Data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account data: email address, name, date of birth, country of residence, and password (stored hashed).
- Authentication data: session tokens, login timestamps, and, if you use social sign-in, the identifier returned by that provider.
- Trading & evaluation data: simulated trades you place, performance metrics, wallet addresses you voluntarily enter into public tools such as the tracker.
- Payment metadata: if you purchase an evaluation, our payment processor returns limited details (last four digits, card country, transaction ID). We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage & device data: IP address, browser, operating system, referrer, pages visited, and interaction events.
- Communications: the contents of support emails, form submissions, and messages you send us.
3. How we use your data
- Provide, maintain, and improve the service.
- Evaluate trader performance against published rules.
- Process payments and issue payouts.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Analyse product usage to improve features and user experience.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and tax obligations.
- Send service updates and, with your consent, marketing communications.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA, we process your personal data under the following Article 6 legal bases:

5. Sharing & processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with vetted processors only to the extent needed to deliver the service:
- Hosting, database, and authentication: our cloud backend provider, which stores account and application data.
- Payment processing: a PCI-compliant payment provider handles card transactions.
- Email delivery: transactional email provider for account and receipt emails.
- Analytics: privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate usage.
- Community: Discord, if you choose to join our server (governed by Discord's own privacy policy).
- Market data: Polymarket public data feeds power price displays; we do not send your personal data to them.
We may also disclose data where required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
6. International transfers
Some of our processors are located outside the EEA/UK. Where required, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or an adequacy decision to lawfully transfer data.
7. Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active and for up to 24 months after closure.
- Payment and tax records: retained as required by law (typically up to 10 years).
- Support communications: retained for up to 24 months.
- Server logs and security events: retained for up to 12 months.
- Marketing preferences: retained until you withdraw consent.
8. Your rights
Under GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request rectification of inaccurate data.
- Request erasure ("right to be forgotten") where applicable.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Request portability of data you provided to us.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (for example, your national data protection authority in the EU/UK).

9. Children
FundMyOpinion is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use TLS encryption in transit, hashed password storage, role-based access controls, and regular platform updates. No system is fully secure; you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and notifying us of any suspected compromise.
11. Cookies & similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixel tags. We use the following categories:

We do not respond to Do Not Track signals, as no consistent industry standard exists.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice.
